Paul Abbott

Paul Abbott was born in southeast London in 1960, and by the age of 3 he began
his first drawings. By the age of 13, struggling with school and getting into trouble, Paul’s art teacher
told his father to buy him some oil paints because he was inevitably going to go down one road, or the other. His dad bought him his first oil paints and canvases, and Paul quickly turned his bedroom into an art studio. At the age of 15, one evening, his dad came into his room while Paul was painting
and said “Son, you’ve got to do your homework.” Paul responded “Don’t worry Dad, I am going to be an artist.”
